Was ist eigentlich Indiegogo.com?

Indiegogo ist eine Crowdfunding-Plattform, über die man sein Projekt mit Hilfe von Mitmenschen finanzieren kann. Von Filmen, Spielen und Musik über Kunst und Desing bis hin zu Technologie findest du dort alles. Seit dem Geschäftsbegin 2009 haben 8.6 Millionen Menschen $1.7 Milliarden beigesteuert und damit 85.000 kreative Projekte finanziert.

Unterstützt du ein Projekt so bekommst du auch eine Gegenleistung, abhängig von der gespendeten Summe können das Links, T-Shirts, persönliche Einladungen o.ä. sein.

Warum brauchen wir so viel Geld?

Das teuerste sind die Reisen, dazu kommen die Kosten für das Kamerateam, den Schnitt…

Für den Dreh in Amerika (Besuch bei Ted Kerasote) haben wir bereits 10.000 Euro ausgegeben.

Um eine möglichst große Bandbreite des Themas zeigen zu können, wollen wir von Hunden und ihren Herrchen in der ganzen Welt erzählen.

USA: Angefangen haben wir die Reise mit Amerika. Besuch bei dem Hundebuchautoren Ted Kerasote und seinem Labrador Pukka.

England: Jemima Harrison, Regisseurin der BBC-Dokumentation „Pedigree Dogs Expose“. Sie leitet eine Hunde-Auffangstation und hat selbst 9 Hunde.

Finnland: Ist Akiro, der Crossbreed aus Toller und Australian Shepherd, wirklich “best of both words”.  Welche Krankheiten schlummern in ihm? Besuch im Institut des Genetikers Dr. Lohi.

Schweiz: Working dogs bei der Arbeit auf 2500 Metern Höhe.

Kanada/USA: Hunde werden mit Wölfen gekreuzt. Eine Lösung?

What is Indiegogo?

Indiegogo is a way to fund creative projects. From games, music, art, design technology to movies. Both large and small projects are supported due to the direct assistance of individuals. Since the beginning of their business in 2009, “8.6 million people have contributed $1.7 billion and thus financed 85.000 creative projects.”

Why do we need so much money?

The greatest amount is spend on traveling. Furthermore we have to cover the expenses of the camera crew, the editor… For example: we have spent 10.000€  for the journey to the United States (visiting Ted Kerasote).

USA: We started the journey with America. Visiting the dog-book-author Ted Kerasote and his Labrador Pukka.

England: Jemima Herrison, director of the BBC documentary „Pedigree Dogs Expose“. She leads a dog rescue center and has 9 dogs herself.

Finland: Is Akiro a crossbreed from Toller and Australian Shepherd really „the best of both worlds“? Which diseases are hidden in his DNA? Visiting the Institute of the geneticist Dr. Lohi.

Switzerland: Working dogs at 2500 metres altitude.

Canada/USA: Back to the wolf. Is crossing dogs with wolves an answer?
